Aluminium Poles - 44"/31"

Description

These lightweight, aluminum poles from DAC are a good length for use with the 1P Cirriform Tarp when paired with a 1P Bug Shelter (aka 1P Cirriform DW). They collapse to under 12.5" in length to easily fit in most packs and bike frame bags.

A few usage notes to keep in mind:

  • If you're using the Cirriform without an inner, or with a bivy, you'll probably be better off with our shorter, 39"/26" poles.
  • When using these poles with the Cirriform Tarp, pitch height adjustment at the head end of the shelter is limited. You can reduce the height by flexing the pole or leaning it to one side. For example, try leaning the pole so the base is skewed to the non-door side of the tarp. Then, counteract the lean by shifting the stake for the apex towards the same side as the base of the pole.
  • If the poles sink into soft ground, try placing a small rock or other item under the bottom of the pole.
