Load Stabilizers

NOTE: We've had to update the g-hooks we use. They may have a tight fit on packs purchased before Oct. 2025 - let us know if you run into any issues.

Description

Load stabilizers connect the shoulder straps to the y-strap (Style B y-strap). Tightening the stabilizers pulls the weight closer to your back to secure it in place. Loosening them reduces constriction and shifts the center of gravity away from your back. They are mostly used when carrying larger loads and when the extension collar is extended above the shoulder straps.

Weight

12.4g | 0.44 oz per pair

Max length:

~25cm | 10"

Compatibility

Stabilizers are sold as a pair and are compatible with the packs using the Style B y-strap (the default on the Sassafras V3).

Installation

To install load stabilizers, clip the non-adjustable side to the shoulder strap as shown in the photo. Clip the adjustable side to the y-strap. Two locations are available on the y-strap; we typically use the upper ones for larger loads.
